Position Overview The Special Education Teacher supports the classroom teacher in providing instruction, behavior support, and daily care to students with disabilities in a self-contained and general education setting. This position assists with implementing IEP goals, supervising students, and ensuring a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment.
Responsibilities

Support small-group and 1:1 instruction as directed by the teacher

Assist with implementing IEP accommodations, behavior plans, and data collection

Provide support with communication, social skills, and self-regulation

Assist with personal care needs (toileting, feeding, hygiene) as required

Prepare instructional materials and help maintain an organized classroom

Supervise students during transitions, lunch, recess, and transportation

Maintain confidentiality and follow district policies and procedures
Qualifications
